Dr. Hagen Hultzsch (Chairman)
Dr. Hagen Hultzsch has more than 40 years experience in technology management. Up until
2001, Hultzsch was a member of the management board of Deutsche Telekom, where he was
responsible for research and development, information technology, and quality. During Hultzsch's
tenure, Deutsche Telekom evolved from a government-owned organization into a publicly-owned
corporation with four separate business units. Prior to his work with Deutsche Telekom, Hultzsch
held various executive positions at Volkswagen AG, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), and GSI, a
German research organization. Previously, Hultzsch served as the chair of the Supervisory Board
of T-Venture Holding in Bonn, Germany, a corporate venture capital firm focusing on high techno-
logy investments in telecom software, wireless communications equipment, computer software
and internet infrastructure.
Richard Seibt
Richard Seibt has 30 years of international business experience in the information technology
industry. He began his professional career in sales at IBM in Stuttgart, followed by management
positions in the fields of business development and sales and marketing both in Germany and in
other European countries. As the managing director at IBM Germany, he managed all sales and
marketing efforts for IBM software products in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; later, he was
also responsible for North America. In 1998, Seibt became a board member at United Internet
AG. In January at 2003, he became the CEO at SuSE Linux AG. In February of 2004, when SuSE
was acquired by Novell Inc., he was appointed president of Novell EMEA. Since leaving Novell in
May of 2005, he has been focusing on a select group of Linux and open source projects. Since
August of 2005, he has served as the chairman of the Open Source Congress "Open Source
Meets Business" organized by Heise Media. In 2006 he founded the Open Source Business
Foundation and today he serves at the board level of several software companies including Open-
Xchange Inc., Scali Inc., LikewiseSoftware Inc., Kinamu AG, Collax Inc., eZ Systems AS, IISY AG,
Evidanza GmbH, Sopera GmbH, Polepositioner AG and others.
Michael Auerbach
Michael Auerbach is the Vice President of the Computing Services and Solutions (CSS) Service Line of T-Systems since 2005 where he bears global responsibility for all of T-Systems' computing services (around 100 data centers, approx. 41,000 servers, 120,000 MIPS, around 1 million SAP users). Prior to joining T-Systems, Michael Auerbach graduated from the Technical University of Darmstadt with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1987. After completing his studies, he initially worked in technical support for sales activities at EDS Holding GmbH and later in project management in the CAD/CAM field. From 1991, he was head of the central department for CAD/CAM support, and in September 1993 took over as head of EDS mobile communications accounts. Auerbach joined T-Systems (or its predecessor, debis Systemhaus GmbH) in 1996, where he headed the Frankfurt/Main office until December 1999. Here, his main focus was on setting up the SAP R/3 business. As Head of the debis market segment "Financial Services" until the end of 2001, Michael Auerbach was responsible for all debis customers in the banking and insurance industry. In 2001, T-Systems was created from debis Systemhaus GmbH and the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary, DeTeCSM. Here, Michael Auerbach took over as head of the Customer Service unit. This unit provided support for Deutsche Telekom and its subsidiaries (with the exception of T-Mobile and T-Online). Michael Auerbach was responsible for Desktop and Computing Services, including approx. 190,000 PCs, around 8,000 servers and 20,000 MIPS. He merged the former debis and DeTeCSM areas into one unit and consolidated his unit's sites. In 2004, Michael Auerbach's area of responsibility extended to include T-Mobile customers and all of T-Systems' other telecommunications customers. While his unit had previously focused on Germany, business was now becoming increasingly international.
Oliver Fietz
Oliver Fietz is a fund manager at T-Venture, the Corporate Venture Capital arm of Deutsche Telekom AG. He has more than 11 years of experience in the equity industry holding positions in private equity, venture capital and M&A advisory at a leading wholesale bank. By joining T-Venture, he took over the value management of international investments in the tele-communication area. Today, Fietz is running the T-Corporate Venture Fund overseeing in-vestments in emerging markets and in early stage companies. Recent activities include the establishment of a corporate-in-residence-partnership in China as a platform for local direct investments and the realization of corporate spin-offs. Fietz also serves on the board of 1bib.com Ltd. (Guangzhou, China) as well as on the investment committee of the High-Tech-Gruenderfonds (Bonn).
Holger Heinen
Holger Heinen is an investment manager with the High-Tech Gründerfonds, an investment fund focusing on young, high-opportunity technological companies. Heinen was an entrepreneur before he became an investment professional. He has more than 8 years experience in managing a young IT company and has led the development of a geo information system.
Klaus-Juergen Buss
Klaus Juergen Buss has more than 20 years experience in corporate finance. He is head of finance for Deutsche Telekom Laboratories which belongs to the central Product and Innovation division of Deutsche Telekom. Before joining Deutsche Telekom Buss had been the inter alia head of the finance department of Lufthansa Systems and CFO of Planet Internet, a KPN B.V. spin-off.
